Hi All
Thanks for your help.
I have now had the Disco Emissions re-tested, by the same dealership the results of the various tests for emissions are as follows:
First test failed No info / level provided !
Addative put into fuel then emissions tested level/result was 01.96 l/m.
One week later and at least one full fill up of fuel from near empty the re-test (required by Land Rover) following my letter.
Level/result was 0.92 l/m.
Now is that amazing or not ?
Can anyone tell me what the fail level is?
Just for your interest I have copyed below the reply from Land Rover UK (Solihull)

Dear Mr Shuttleworth
Land Rover Discovery Td5 'GS'
Thank you for your letter of 22nd December. It seems that the Christmas break has
delayed the delivery of your letter, so may I apologise for the delay in response.
I am sorry to learn of your concerns regarding the emissions from your vehicle.
Please be assured that we have no inherent issues regarding this matter within Land
Rover, and we believe that our vehicles do indeed perform within the guidelines set
in the handbook publications. I have discussed this matter with your main dealership, and
they inform me that they believe the irregular reading to be the result of foreign
matter actually within the fuel, and not a fault with the vehicle.
Having spoken to our Technical Support Team, I am inclined to agree with this
diagnosis. However, appreciating your concern, I understand that your vehicle is
booked into the dealership tomorrow, at which time another emissions check will be
carried out, which, I am sure, will provide the assurance you seek.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention,

Yours sincerely
