Oh, man, diagnosing a vehicle I've never seen over the Internet is as hard as convincing a red headed woman to change her mind, but I've got to wonder about your symptoms.
If it were only air suspension problems and your de-icers not working, I'd suspect a problem with your battery and charging system. The de-icers eat a LOT of power so they're designed with voltage sensing controls. If the alternator and battery are not putting out enough voltage, they won't come on - or if they eat up so much power that the system voltage drops too low, they will come on momentarily and then switch themselves off. Low or erratic voltage can also throw an air suspension system off, too.
I've never seen an ABS and/or ETC problem caused by low voltage, but I guess it could happen.
For my $0.02, I love the air suspension system and I'd keep it as long as I can, but there are some failures that the $$$ don't justify it. That's a decision only you can make.
I don't have info on your tyre and chain questions.
Good luck, MrG (mrgutwrench@atTEA.net - Change "atTEA" to "att" to email)
