Had similar problems with my 96 Dicsovery. I was going down the hiway around 75 mph and started to loose power. It would run but very sluggish. THe dealer tired a new fuel filter but no luck. It ended up getting a new fuel pump. The rig only had 40,000 miles on it when that happened. A week later the water pump went. go figure.I have come to accept that the Land Rovers are not he most reliable vehicles on the road. That is to bad because I really like the rig. The fuel pump is some big $$. About $450 for the parts. I understand that it is a time consuming repair since the fuel pump is located in the gas tank. (that was what I was told) Luckily all my repairs were covered under a warranty from the dealer. good luck
