I had a similar problem on a N/A diesel 110, the fault turned out to be the king Nut on the end of the crank shaft was loose, thus it wobbled visibly when we played with it, the solution was to remove it and examine, the locking pin was damaged, we did a tempory repair using industrial liquid metal and tightened the nut up and left it to set. This repair is still fine and the vehicle is still going strong - that was two years ago.
