Mike - nice to see you back hope you are fully recovered.
Where does the auxiliary fuel tank live and any off-road guards required? My standard 55 litre (12 UK gallons) NAS90 tank under the rear floor only gives me a 200 mile range, which can be a bit painfull on long journeys.
You might have seen the dialogue between Jason and myself regarding LPG. Here in the UK we are paying 68 pence per litre (£3-10 per UK gallon $5 per UK gallon) for unleaded which gets a bit expensive with a V8 NAS90. Have you any experience of LPG in the states or is your fuel price so low it's not worth bothering with?
