1998 V-8 Discovery, is it reliable?

Please, share your advise with me on this one. I never owened 4X4
vehicle and now thinking of buying one! Our local LR dealer is offering a good deal on 98 LR Discovery 3.9L. I have no backgroung on
this vehicle. Would someone advice me. Thanks a lot!
