Last night I removed the Idle Air Control Valve (Stepper Motor) and it had allot of dirt and carbon build-up. I used some acetone to clean off the plunger and inside the stepper motor housing, removed the vaccum hoses and inspected for cracks and splits, re-assembled everything and now the truck won't idle, I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running. So I have another stepper motor on it's way, I have 160000 miles on this one and it's just a cheap plastic thing. If the new IAC does not help, I'll have to drill out my idle adjustment plug and try to re-set the base idle. My idle has never been messed with and I hate to dive into that, but If that's what it takes that's what I'll do. Check your IAC valve and vaccum hoses first, I'll let you know what I come up with...
