Actually it is not all that technically difficult, just a long dirty job but ... it may not be the swivel pin housing seal at all, it may be the hub seal and this is much easier. If it is the swivel seal, you can try removing the seal retaining thingy, partly removing the seal and cleaning it then putting it back rotated a little. This often works if the ball is not pitted. The hub seal is relatively easy (3). As to the vibration, the Discovery (mine is similar to yours) is very sensitive ot tyres being out of ballance or out of round. My vehicle had Pirellis on it when I got it and it vibrated very badly. Some new Michelins fixed it but with 50,000 km on them they need ballancing now. Michael
