I did not see any special mod to it. It appeared to be quite standard. The main problem with these engines seem to be burnt exhaust valves (often caused by too lean a mixture in a bid to get better mileage). The other problem seems to be rings caused by too much high speed (high rev) driving. As MG says, I suspect you have a ring proplem on #5 cylinder. Sorry I could not be more helpful.
