engine problems 2.6 petrol series three Posted by ian marsden on August 16, 1998 at 03:07:36: please can anybody give me some information r/e problems with no 5 cylinder continually oiling up the plug and causing the engine to run on only 5 of it's 6 cylinders. i heard somewhere that problems associated with this engine occur because of lack of lubrication to no five rocker/ valves. is this right? does anyone know of a modification carried out by the australian army to correct this design fault, involving running a remote oil feed directly to the area affected. i would also like to hear from anyone who also runs the 2.6 straight six petrol engined series 2a or 3 and compare notes. thanks ian marsden
