G'day

What faces you is a big job. I rebuild Fitzgerald - my 1951 80 inch from the chassis up. It took ten years (although the actual work time was about 12 months), took up lots of space and cost more than I expected but it can be done and is very satisfying if you do get there.

I am currently working on a Series IIa 1969 88 inch. It is getting close.

Some advice -

1. Make sure you have enough money, time and space.
2. Photograph everything for later reference
3. Keep nuts and bolts in labled containers
4. Do one thing at a time. Start with the chassis and gradually add systems to it.

You will also have to decide whether you are doing a restoration or a rebuild. If you are "restoring" then you are going back to original - if you are rebuilding, then you are building a vehicle to use. I have done the latter.

If I can help, contact me through my web site.

Michael
