Without knowing more about the alleged symptoms, I can't give a definitive answer. However, the 200Tdi is a strong engine, and before looking at the really expensive options of pistons through the block (and how would you miss that - you'd notice it as soon as you opened the bonnet), I'd be inclined to look for the simpler things that are known to be 200Tdi problems - like a pot to oilway blown head gasket. And as for the person that said that I obviously don't have a clue what the "problem" could be, I don't remember anyone else helping out the guy with a leaking clutch slave cylinder on a 109! Believe it or not, there are some women out here that look after and maintain their own vehicles. Oh, and by the way, Land Rovers are small fry - I trained on commercial vehicles.
