Best thing to do is remove both the hinge to bulkhead bolts on one hinge. You can then see the set up. The captive nut clips in through the square hole in the bulkhead. On series vehicles and coil sprung models upto about 1997 its a UNF thread, 5/16" I think. The later models with "Torx" head screws are a M8 thread. Its a dealer job for the replacements unless you can find a hardware/nut stockist locally. Better still get the metric ones and replace the screws with M8 countersunk stainless steel. Or go one step further, drive out the hinge pins and get the hinges galvanised. Thats what I did, and fitted stainless screws - looks much better!!
