As they say, that little more length can make a lot of difference! (When it comes to Hi lift jacks at least)
As for brands, out of all available in the UK there’s only to real contenders The Hi Lift and the Jackal,
I went for a 5ft Jackal, as it loos sturdier than the Hi lift, but they both have good reputations, avoid far eastern copies, I've heard some real horror stories about them breaking under weight! If you have little experience using one, talk to someone who knows how to use one properly, they are a lot more than just a big Jack when in the right hands!!
