buying a used RR

could somebody please help. i want to buy a used RR probably around a 1997. can anyone give me any advice on the things i should be looking out for.
also can anyone suggest a good extended warranty company more to the point would you advice that i take out an extended warranty. if so how much should i be paying.
my last question is that i have seen a 1997 4.6 but it has 84000 miles on it and the gut wants $23000 is that a reasonable price or would you guys in the know out there suggest that the miles are too high. please help.
