John, I have a set of Koni's in my '97 Disco V8. I have coupled these with Air Lift bags in the back to improve the load carrying ability. I fitted the Koni's about November last year. The suspension is otherwise stock. So far I am happy with them. Tomorrwo I am off to Western Zambia (just inside the Angolan border), travelling across Botswana from South Africa. The vehicle will be *very* heavily loaded. To give you an idea, I will be carrying 110 litres drinking water, 300 litres fuel, food & supplies for two weeks, recovery gear, spares, fridge etc. etc. We are going to some pretty remote areas and in places there are no roads or tracks *at all*. |
