Stuck Clutch

I recently returned to the UK (which is why you haven't heard much of me) and got my Lightweight out of storage. The person I'd stored it with needed the space in his barn and so moved her outside, she was only outside for a month but now the clutch is stuck in the engaged position.
This makes changing gear a little difficult, although a 24V LR on the Devon lanes is possibly the only vehicle that you can get about using only third and the starter motor - it's not very practical!
The only thing we can think of is to drive it, depress the clutch pedal and brake hard. This hasn't worked yet and cannot be good for the gear box!
Any suggestions?
