It is not as easy as you make it out to be. The Rover V8 is a great engine, I even doubt it really needs an overhaul. Would guess head gaskets, chk/do valve job if ness., chk/replace cam-lifters-timing cahin & gear set. The prob with fitting a "Stove Bolt" V8 is weight, weight the suspension isn't suppose to have, thus effecting handling. Cost isn't cheap... I'd no doubt charge you about $8000. to $12,000. to do such a conversion, while a full voerhaul on the Rover would be under $4000.
