| Lt-77 spline wears Posted by ric7d90 on May 12, 2001 at 10:41:37: Hello, i'm new on this list, I have a 1994 d90 with early Lt-77 tranny and LT-230 Tcase. Guess what the splines are gone on the output shaft. The dealer asks 4000$ to fix the problem. Any cheap solutions, Seams Lt-77 Output shafts are not available anymore so i cant rebuid my tranny. And the LT-230 input gear cost the same price as a used Lt-230 box. Are all the LT-77 And LT-230 the same (Ratios input/output shafts) if not How can i know wich one to buy. Would an old RR LT230 be the same. I have upgrade to 36 inch tires so i have to be carful in what direction the new ratio goes. Eric
