How can you easily identify a 50/50 master when compared to a 62/38 ?

I assume the different front/back fluid output of the master is due to different diameters at either end of the master?

What effect would the 'shuttle' / brake failure valve have if the difference between fluid volume required front and rear is too great. Would there be a tendancy for the end of the vehicle requiring the greater volume of fluid to be shut off as the pressure in the side requiring the least volume builds (as the shoes come into contact with the drums).

Do you know what sort of pressure (PSI or Bar)there should ideally be at the slave cylinder end?.
