Great, that's all I needed to know. I already wired the trailer wires, (soldered each one. I'm taking no chances of shorts!) Everything is working great. I agree that paying for a dealer trailer plug is nuts. A test light and common sense is all you need. I actually wired an extra set of lights on the trailer that are dedicated signal lights, rather than use the converter. So I have separate stop, running and signal lights, just like the Land Rover.

An Airstream huh? I used to have a 21 foot Safari. I loved it. Towed it from Connecticut to California with my new (then) 1984 Suburban. Great fun. They are the 'caddy' of the trailers!

Thanks so much Rich. I was hoping someone would pop up and give me some info on the 'infamous' purple (or is it violet?) wire.
