Is it carb or EFI V8? If carb you can check the pump easly. Unscrew the pump (left side in front part of the fuel tank), have a look and check if works.
If it is EFI V8 you can check the fuel line. Disconect the fuel pipe from fuel filter (under right rear wheelarche) to check the fuel pressure. You can also check current supply of fuel pump. I am not sure but there are conectors of current supply of the pump (under left rear wheelarche). It is rather hard work to put the pump out. You have to remove the fuel tank or to remove the floor of luggage space.
