have a friend who has an 87 Range Rover V8 that was in the water for about 5 minutes to launch his boat. While the engine was running, the tail pipe and possibly the gas filler were under water, the car just started to loose power and had to be put in neutral. They gave it throttle just to keep it running, but it still was loosing R P Ms. After pulling the car out, they ran down the battery trying to start it and the car never did start . In checking I didn't hear the fuel pump running. I checked the fuel manifold at the back right side of the engine and no fuel, the fuse under the radio panel is O K and I can get it to start by using a squirt can with gas but it won't keep running.
