
| No easier way that I ever found - read on Posted by jec on December 25, 2000 at 22:24:20: In Reply to: 95 Disco Center Console Removal posted by Gerry on December 25, 2000 at 19:23:10: Remove the boot around the handbrake lever and it will let you access and remove the clip and clevis pin that connects the lever to the e-brake cable (remove the clevis with the lever down - i.e., no tension on the cable). Careful not to drop the pieces! Reassembly may require a pair of vice grips on the end of the cable to remove any tension and allow you to put the pin back in. Are you replacing the plate because the film broke? (our dogs did ours in stepping on the console). Did you find any bargains on the replacement or end up paying the full factory price?
