I have a 1992 RR County that I bought two months ago with ABS problems. I am not very techincal so I needs some help understand what the Land Rover Dealer is describing as the problem. I brought the car in because the ABS light was on all the time. The dealer tested the system and told me the pump is bad and it may need new relays, brake booster and a couple of wheel sensors. The estimate is $2,500 to $5,000! I think I understand the pump, relays and sensors but what function does the booster perform in the system? I have looked up the part in catalogs and it cost $2,300! Anyone know where I can find a used or re-manufactured booster. I can't see sinking $5,000 into a 8 year ago car. Help!
